Overview
As the leading retail jeweler and on-site jewelry repair shop on the seacoast of NH, Jewelry Creations is looking to grow their team with talented individuals that are passionate about their craft. The Bench Jeweler will perform all requested and necessary tasks, including: sizing; stone setting; head replacement; retipping; soldering; jewelry customizations; and more.
Responsibilities
•Perform all necessary repairs on jewelry as needed
•Perform inspection and cleaning of jewelry as needed
•Make accurate assessments of repair costs
•Occasionally consult with clients about their repair or custom design
•Ensure high-quality work fitting of Jewelry Creations’ high standards
•Perform work using laser welder (previous experience not required)
•Engrave jewelry using manual engraving machine
•Conduct work in a manner that is consistent with safety protocols
•Conduct work consistent with our policies, procedures, and paperwork
•Clean, maintain and operate shop equipment and tools
•Ensure appropriate consumption and recovery of findings per company direction.
•Conduct oneself in a professional manner and keep a clean, organized, workspace
•Constantly pursue personal improvement for growth through education opportunities and best practices in the trade, sharing knowledge with other bench jewelers and staff.
Qualifications
•1+ years bench experience
•Ability to work Tuesday – Saturday with expanded hours during the holiday season
•A high school diploma or equivalent
