Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bench Jeweler to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience working with fine jewelry and possesses a strong understanding of jewelry repair and craftsmanship.
Responsibilities:
As a Bench Jeweler, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of quality and service by performing the following:
Jewelry Repair & Maintenance – Perform ring resizing, stone setting, re-tipping prongs, chain and clasp repair, re-shanking rings, soldering, and polishing.
Custom Jewelry Work – Assist with custom designs, including wax carving, casting, and fabrication of fine jewelry pieces.
Stone Setting & Inspection – Set diamonds and gemstones securely in a variety of settings while inspecting jewelry for loose stones or needed repairs.
Refinishing & Polishing – Ensure jewelry pieces maintain their brilliance and luster through professional cleaning, refinishing, and polishing.
Quality Control – Conduct thorough inspections to ensure all repairs and custom work meet our quality standards before returning jewelry to guests.
Collaborate with Sales Team – Work closely with sales associates to provide expert recommendations on repairs, modifications, and custom projects for our guests.
Qualifications:
Experience in jewelry repair, fabrication, and stone setting is preferred but not required. We are open to training individuals with relevant skills.
Proficiency with tools such as a jeweler’s torch, laser welder, polishing wheel, and hand tools for precision work.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with delicate, high-value pieces.
Understanding of different metal types and their unique characteristics.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional craftsmanship.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to recommend appropriate repairs and solutions.
