POSITION SUMMARY
The Bench Jeweler at Vic & Marv Jewelry is responsible for performing high-quality jewelry repairs, stone setting, sizing, fabrication, and finishing for fine jewelry pieces. This role ensures all client jewelry is handled with precision, security, and craftsmanship consistent with a luxury brand. The Bench Jeweler supports both retail and concierge services by delivering accurate, timely, and well-documented repair and custom work.

This position is a key revenue driver through repair services, custom projects, restorations, and stone setting.

Size Wedding Bands

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform ring sizing, prong repair, retipping, soldering, polishing, and refinishing
Set diamonds and gemstones in gold, platinum, and silver
Repair chains, clasps, mountings, and structural components
Inspect incoming jewelry and document condition for intake and security
Estimate labor and materials for repair and custom jobs
Support custom jewelry fabrication and modifications
Maintain workbench, tools, and safety standards
Work closely with sales and concierge staff on client timelines and quality
Maintain inventory of bench supplies, findings, and materials
Ensure all client jewelry is securely tracked, stored, and returned

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Professional bench jeweler experience in a retail, studio, or manufacturing environment
Expertise in gold, platinum, and silver jewelry repair
Stone setting experience including prong, bezel, and channel settings
Ability to work with fine diamonds and gemstones
Strong soldering, laser welding, and finishing skills
Understanding of jewelry construction and structural integrity
Ability to assess repair needs and provide accurate estimates
High attention to detail and craftsmanship

Torch soldering and laser welding
Polishing and finishing equipment
Stone setting tools
Ring stretching and sizing equipment
Microscopes and inspection tools
Jewelry repair and fabrication hand tools

Pay: $50,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
