Responsibilities include:
•Assist with jewelry repair on customer’s jewelry, including but not limited to diamond settings, solder, mounting, sizing, reshanking, retipping, channel and strip setting of diamonds, laser solder, rhodium and polishing
•Design aesthetic for custom design of rings, pendants, and earrings, with platinum, gold, silver and non-metals
•Jewelry repair pricing
•Appraisals of jewelry
•Assist in showroom when needed
•Diamond and gemstone quality grading a plus
•Use of laser, microscope and engraver
•Assist Master Jeweler with ordering shop materials
Skills required:
•High school or equivalent required. College or Technical school a plus
•2+ years experience
•Knowledge of jeweler’s tools, machinery and equipment required along with jewelry repair knowledge
•Ability to be a good decision maker with strong problem solving skills required
•Must be detail oriented and able to multi task
•Strong communication skills and ability to interact with customers
•Must be able to work 40+ hours per week including Saturdays, closed on Sundays
•Must be able to work more during peak holiday seasons
