Summary
We are currently looking for a Full Time Senior Goldsmith and Jeweller to join our growing team.
Minimum experience of 5 years with trades certificate is necessary as is a desire to excel in the design and manufacture of fine jewellery.
Responsible for design and manufacture of bespoke fine jewellery pieces in London. A proactive approach is essential.
Study instructions from retail client’s order (simple or complex designs), liaise with the client to ensure that all aspects are completed to the clients specification (sketches, mockups), and discuss precious metal options and preferences. Correctly advise any aspects of the design which will not work in practice.
Work with our C.A.D team to start production and overcome any technical challenges as discussed with the client.
Overview casting and mounting processes which includes ensuring soldering and laser soldering of pieces is exactly right to achieve perfect symmetry.
Overview setting of diamonds and coloured stones which includes delegating setting tasks with the appropriate design lay-out, gemstone sizes and setting style.
Overview polishing of completed pieces which includes appropriate plating is applied where and when necessary.
Responsible for final review of the completed piece.
Must be London based or prepared to relocate on a long-term basis.
This is strictly an in house position with the aim of being a long term career situation.
