Mervis Diamond Importers is hiring an experienced Master Bench Jeweler for our Tysons, VA showroom. This role is for a skilled professional who takes pride in exceptional repairs, complex platinum restorations, and precision stone setting.

Pay: $70,000 to $100,000 a year, based on experience

Jeweler Career

What you’ll work on

  • Advanced repairs, sizing, fabrication, and restoration in platinum, 14K and 18K gold, and silver
  • Micro-pavé, channel, bezel, and prong setting, including high-value bridal and delicate colored gemstones
  • Laser welding and microscope-assisted work on intricate repairs and restorations
  • Luxury watch bracelet adjustments and link removal
  • Custom projects, repair options, and realistic timelines with the sales team
  • Final quality check on every piece for secure settings and a showroom-ready finish
  • A clean, organized, and safe workspace

What we’re looking for

  • 7+ years of dedicated bench experience (10+ preferred) in a luxury or high-volume fine jewelry setting
  • Advanced skill in laser welding, platinum work, and microscope-assisted stone setting
  • Experience handling valuable diamonds, delicate colored gemstones, custom work, and estate pieces
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and pride in your work

The bench test

Finalists complete a fully paid, in-person bench test covering platinum sizing, micro-pavé setting, and retipping around delicate gemstones.
