Our client has quietly been developing their Watch Servicing capability over recent years… Core to their values is to offer service perfection, above & beyond, focused on partnering luxury timepiece brands. To their corporate credit, they are exclusive providers of aftersales service to a specific single prestige brand alongside being accredited repairers for a handful of additional prized Luxury Watch names.
If this didn’t appeal enough, there is confidence that before too long demand for their services will be further increased by being retained by a notable retail name to take ownership of all their required group watch repairs. Consequently, there is a need for an additional, as caring & equally meticulous, watch repair specialist to assist their established Senior Watchmaker team.
Job Role:
Essentially to begin with this is a classic bench support role – working alongside several much-revered Watchmakers. Their respective career pedigrees are arguably amongst the best reputations presently ‘on-bench’ so the view is every day will be a masterclass for you to observe, learn, and develop your own skills to ever heightening degrees of competency.
As an expanding entity it is felt that there will be significant opportunity to contribute to many aspects or anticipated organizational growth. However, team wise our client is still small enough that the approach of all is to do everything; cleaning down equipment and surrounding workshop space is individual responsibility not a third parties! So environment neatness and pride comes naturally to you and in this newly created role you are happy to support your team colleagues without request.
Requirements:
Ideally experience wise you are presently involved with a wide cross section of everyday servicing tasks – fitting power cells (batteries), fitting watch bracelets & watch straps, across to other technical tasks – casing up and being able to finally QC check all is perfection ready for re-uniting with owners / corporate clients.
Equipment that our client provides is absolutely top-end with no compromise ever permitted – care of all horological tooling is a non-negotiable necessary trait to intuitively have.
You will need to be content working individually, have a willingness to challenge and extend your skills in the knowledge that here is the potential opportunity to become a bench successor to the masters that everyday their standards you will rightly admire.

It gives rare access to brand working possibly in advance of your initial skill level which from the very first day will be tutored and encouraged to spiral ever upwards.
The business objective being in several years hence, to promote and gain you accreditation as the finished article in Watchmaking able to showcase proudly your standards versus the industries best. It’s a long road – it’s a challenging training journey but once accomplished will have the potential to be incredibly fulfilling.
