Job Overview:
The Master Watchmaker is responsible for the assembly, repair, and maintenance of high-end luxury timepieces/watches. This role requires an expert level of craftsmanship, precision, and attention to detail, as the watchmaker will work with intricate mechanical movements, precious materials, and advanced horological techniques.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Watch Assembly: Assemble complex mechanical and automatic movements, ensuring each timepiece is meticulously constructed to meet the highest factory standards of quality and craftsmanship.
- Repairs and Restoration: Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, servicing both pre-owned/worn and new luxury watches with precision and expertise.
- Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure watches are in correct factory working order, meeting the company’s rigorous standards for craftsmanship and functionality.
- Customization: Collaborate with design team to execute bespoke requests, including modifications to dials, hands, and cases.
- Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance on watches to keep them in optimal factory condition and extend their lifespan.
- Technical Expertise: Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and techniques in the horology industry to maintain a high level of expertise.
- Client Interaction: Occasionally interact with clients to provide watch care advice, repair estimates, and updates on services.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts replacements, and servicing history for each watch.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience working with luxury watches, including mechanical, automatic, and chronograph movements.
- Experience with high-complication movements such as tourbillons, perpetual calendars, or minute repeaters.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of watch components, movements, and materials (e.g., precious metals, sapphire crystal).
- Skills: Expertise in manual and automated watch assembly, repair techniques, and the use of specialized horological tools and equipment.
- Attention to Detail: High precision and accuracy in all aspects of watchmaking, from assembly to repair.
- Customer Service: Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
As Desired:
Education: Certification in watchmaking with high-end watches from recognized luxury brands such as Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe, Rolex, Richard Mille, Omega, etc. or Certification from a recognized horology school or apprenticeship with a renowned luxury watchmaking brand

- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while maintaining high standards of individual craftsmanship.
- Passion for Horology: A genuine passion for the craft of watchmaking, with a keen interest in luxury timepieces and their history.
- Bilingual/Multilingual is a plus.
Compensation:
- Salary range: $120,000-$150,000
