Responsibilities
Setting:
- Setting new stock and bespoke pieces, with a particular focus on Georgian Cut Down settings, or a willingness to learn this skill.
- Altering existing stock and customer pieces.
- Repairing and resizing.
- Problem-solving, finding solutions to intricate designs.
- Ensuring jobs are completed on time, including working to tight deadlines.
- Giving technical and practical advice to the workshop team.
- Supporting the sales team.
- Being responsible for jobs from start to finish, including organising and tracking hours.
Qualifications and Experience
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of bench experience in diamond setting.
- Experience in claw setting, pavé, and other types of setting is a bonus.
- Experience working with large diamonds and gemstones, including emeralds, is a plus.
- Familiarity with GRS Microscopes and GraverMax equipment.
Ideal Candidate
- Proficient in diamond setting.
- Experience or willingness to learn Georgian Cut settings.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently, handling setting tasks and turning pieces around in a timely manner.
- Strong communication skills.
- Self-motivated.
