As a multi-faceted luxury watch retailer and e-platform; WatchBox Jewelers is looking for a motivated, curious, and adaptable Quality Control Specialist to join our growing company to support the buying, selling, and trading of luxury watches worldwide.


Quality Control Manager are a vital part of our ability to grow and expand our evolving business. This position puts you in direct communication with our in-house repair department, outsourced repair departments, and our internal teams here in the U.S. and across the globe. •Quality Control Specialist thoroughly inspects all timepieces after servicing to ensure all watches posted are up to the highest quality standard.
•Work closely with our Watchmaking and Repair Admin team to make sure the condition of each watch that passes into the listings process meets our standards of quality.
•Executing WB’s quality control process, including a company-defined inspection procedure for each watch.

•Implementing the intervention process as needed for watches that require reexamination by production teams earlier in the process.
•Matching watches against watch specifications (e.g., serial number, correct dial color, bracelet type, aftermarket parts) and adding specifications to internal systems as needed.
•Using company-defined standards to rank watch conditions.
•Assisting with physical and digital inventory management by moving watches into appropriate locations that correspond with their statuses.
•Process and communicate all watches that need to be sent back to earlier steps in the servicing process, which fail QC.

Skills, Knowledge, & Personal Attribute Requirements:

•2+ years of experience in a role focused quality control.
•Bachelor’s degree preferred.

•Watchmaking experience including WOSTEP, CW21, SAWTA, OWME certifications preferred, but not required.
•Experience with watches or jewelry required.
•Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
•Desire for continuous learning, particular in a technical area.
•Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.

•Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
•Ability to self-prioritize workload.
•Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
•Ability to both focus and multi-task when needed – the demands of this job change daily based on volume.

Physical Requirements:

•Able to use magnifying tools (handheld or watchmaker loupe) to visually inspect watches to evaluate performance, and identify aesthetic flaws.
•Excellent motor skills, hand/eye coordination, and vision.

•Ability to remain seated for an extended period of time.
•Current Covid-19 vaccination.
