Watch Technician- Birmingham (Permanent)
Battery reseals, changes and cleaning services.
Here at Signet Jewelers we are currently recruiting for a Watch Technician to join our busy repairs team as a key part of one of the UK’s largest single site Jewellery & Watch repair functions.
As a Watch Technician, you will undertake battery/reseal and partial repairs on behalf of our network of retail stores across the UK. Previous experience of watch repairs is advantageous but full training will be provided to individuals with no prior or limited experience.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering excellent customer service, be able to work using their own initiative and manage their own workload. Excellent attention to detail, manual dexterity and a keen focus on quality are just some of the key attributes required for this role.
The opportunity to develop and progress towards a Watchmaking career is a possibility for the right candidate that can demonstrate the commitment and academic qualities required.
Key Responsibilities
•Carry out battery/reseal and partial repairs across multiple watch brands to the required quality standards whilst maintaining the SLA requirements of each repair.
•To self manage your daily repair allocation and maintain a clean/tidy working environment.
•To provide clear written/verbal communication of diagnostic findings and prompt notification of potential delays to your workflow to the administration team and/or Operations Manager.
•Demonstrate a willingness to develop your knowledge and capabilities through continuous improvement, with the potential future opportunity to develop towards a watchmaker role for the right individual.
