We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Permanent Watchmaker/ Service Technician to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for someone who is fascinated by the intricacies of mechanical watches and has a keen eye for detail. As a Permanent Watchmaker/ Service Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of a wide range of high-end mechanical watches. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has a deep understanding of the delicate craftsmanship that goes into every timepiece and wants to use their skills to ensure each watch performs at its best.
Responsibilities:
1. Diagnose and resolve technical issues with a variety of mechanical watches, ensuring each piece functions optimally and accurately.
2. Conduct regular servicing of watches, including cleaning, oiling, and adjusting timekeeping components.
3. Perform intricate repairs, ranging from replacing parts to troubleshooting complex mechanical problems.
4. Communicate effectively with customers, providing updates on their watch service status, explaining technical issues, and advising on the care and maintenance of their timepieces.
5. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and parts are properly stored and easily accessible.
6. Keep accurate records of all services and repairs, including the parts used and the time spent on each task.
7. Stay up-to-date with the latest watchmaking techniques and technologies, continuously improving your skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2+ years of experience in watchmaking, specifically with mechanical watches.
2. Proven experience in watch servicing, troubleshooting, and repair.
3. Exceptional fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, necessary for working with tiny, delicate watch parts.
4. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently and effectively.
5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to customers in a clear and understandable way.
6. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to keep track of multiple tasks and maintain a clean, orderly workspace.
7. A passion for watches and a deep understanding of the craftsmanship that goes into each timepiece.
8. A commitment to continuous learning and improvement, staying up-to-date with the latest watchmaking techniques and technologies.
