Are you a skilled watchmaker with a passion for luxury timepieces? Martin & Co, the only Authorised Rolex Service Centre in the Cotswolds, is looking for you! Based in our Cheltenham store, you will work in our Rolex-approved service area, equipped with the latest tools and technology, alongside our Rolex Accredited Watchmaker.

About the Role

You will have the utmost responsibility in dealing with all Rolex aftercare and maintenance. Dedicated to perfection and innovating constantly, our watchmakers are responsible for bringing timepieces to life and giving spirit to Rolex watches, ensuring they stand apart from the rest.

As a Watchmaker, you will:

  • Carry out full services, dial and hand fittings, and partial repairs on all pre-qualified Rolex calibres to Rolex’s standards of quality, lead time, and cost.
  • Work in a well-equipped workshop with a Rolex accredited watchmaker
  • Certify all repairs are carried out using techniques and tools according to Rolex standards.
  • Guarantee that all spare parts used are allocated to the correct job.
  • Ensure any additional required spare parts are ordered according to current policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to your team’s productivity, whilst adhering to Rolex standards of quality, lead time, and cost.
  • Ensure all work passed to Quality Control conforms to the agreed Rolex Standards of quality.
  • Communicate the status of assigned repairs to the administrative staff as needed.

Experience and Skills

  • WOSTEP/BHI certification, or equivalent.
  • Relevant accreditation and specific training from luxury watch brands (desirable but not essential).
  • Minimum of Level 30 Rolex accreditation is desirable with training and development available.
  • Previous bench experience on Rolex watches and knowledge of Rolex products and watchmaking procedures.
  • Strong work ethic and desire to succeed.
  • High level of responsibility and accountability.
  • Extensive experience in diagnosing, servicing, and repairing timepieces.
  • Aptitude for mechanical work.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as spreadsheets, estimates, and invoices.
  • Attention to detail with excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Enthusiastic and positive personality.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, able to manage time and productivity effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
  • Confidence in demonstrating techniques to colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Understanding of customer expectations and requirements when dealing with aftercare for Rolex.
