Responsibilities:
- Service and Repair: Conduct comprehensive servicing and repairs on a variety of watch brands, including both automatic and quartz movements, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications and quality standards.
- Diagnostic Assessment: Skillfully diagnose issues with timepieces, including mechanical malfunctions, water damage, and component wear, utilizing specialized tools and equipment.
- Maintenance and Calibration: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, oiling, and adjusting movements to optimize accuracy and longevity of watches.
- Communication: Collaborate with colleagues and management to ensure efficient workflow, share insights on technical challenges, and contribute to the overall success of the business.
- Continued Learning: Stay updated on industry advancements, emerging technologies, and best practices in watchmaking through ongoing education and training opportunities.
Skills:
- Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of hands-on experience servicing watches, with a strong understanding of both mechanical and quartz movements.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in servicing a wide range of watch brands and models, including but not limited to luxury and mid-range timepieces.
- Certifications: Possession of recognized certifications such as WOSTEP, SAWTA, AWCI 21, or equivalent, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and mastery in the field of watchmaking.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and precision, with the ability to perform intricate tasks and adjustments with accuracy and consistency.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently, ensuring effective resolution of technical challenges.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.00 – $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
