The main purpose of the Watchmaker is to provide immediate service to clients entering the Boutique. This includes providing detailed analysis for the purpose of the repair, being processed at the Watchmakers Location or the RTC, without interruption, including all services and components. In order to achieve this objective, immediate diagnosis to determine the appropriate service that needs to be applied to the following that will need to be performed: Watches, Clocks and Accessories

•Evaluation of products
•Some Accessories where applicable

Selection of Proper Services to be carried out by the Watchmaker according to Brand Policy to complete Diagnosis and perform services that include the following

•Complete Service
•Internal Service
•Polishing Service (Where applicable)
•Quick Service
•Bracelet/Strap Service
•These services will include the following types of calibers:

•Perpetual Calendars

•High Jewelry

In Diagnosis the watchmaker must provide precise and concise communication to either the Sales Associate or the Client themselves regarding the servicing of their product being examined under the extreme testing. The evaluation requires that the following is considered:


•Previous services performed
•Product History
•Quality Conquest
•Network Feedback
•Physical Condition
•Water Resistance
•Movement Tolerances
•Beat error
•Lower Working Limits
•Battery load

Following outlines, to ensure that products and services are being allocated to the proper locations in a timely fashion

•Brand-Approved Vendors
•Inter-Network Locations

Quality Control Interpretations

•Encasing Skills
•Movement Exchange

Fitting of:

•Case Assembly
•Component Fitting
•VWater Resistance


•Hairspring Adjustments
•Theoretical Knowledge

•Maintenance and Organization of the Workshop
•Maintenance of tools and Equipment
•Ensure that all equipment that is used is:
•Maintained on a regular schedule
•Proper setup of shop
•Proper layout and accessibility of all tools and equipment

•Routine Testing of Technical Skills
•Practical Training

Key responsibility 4:

•Communicate in a professional and informative manner, diagnostic results to:
•Boutique Personnel
•Sales Associates
•Clients when necessary
•Communicate in a timely and professional manner when planning

•Provide the Technical Supervisor/Director with feedback related to quality issues found with new and existing product during the repair processes
•Participate in Maison Sponsored Events

Certification from an Accredited Watchmaking School

Required experience:

•2-5 Years of working with Luxury Watches/ Products
•RTC Training Program

Basic Calibers


Basic knowledge of Watch Complications

•Perpetual Calendars
•High Jewelry

Personal skills:

•Computer Skills
•Knowledge of SAP

•Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously is required;
•Ability to work with a team in a fast-paced environment is required;
•Strong organizational, interpersonal & communication skills
