Assignment

The Patek Philippe Museum in Geneva brings together one of the most important and prestigious watch collections in the world.

With some 2,500 watches, automatons, precious objects and miniature portraits on enamel, the Museum offers a fabulous journey through five centuries of Genevan, Swiss and European watchmaking art as well as a very comprehensive overview of Patek Philippe’s production since 1839. Not forgetting a library of more than 8,000 works relating to the measurement of time.

As part of the role of Museum Watchmaker Restorer, you will ensure the maintenance and conservation of these watch collections.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out conservation projects – restoration of old watch parts.
  • Ensure the re-dressing of new acquisitions before their display in the window.
  • Write the restoration files.
  • Contribute punctually to actions representing and supporting our brand.

Profile sought

  • Holder of a Technician ES diploma in watch restoration-complication or equivalent professional background, you have proven and recognized experience in the restoration of old watch parts.
  • Proficiency in the use of conventional machines such as 70 lathes, milling and pointing machines as well as rotating lathes.
  • Good computer skills, particularly MS Office environment.
  • Oral fluency in English desired.
