The apprenticeship to become a watchmaker (m / f / d) begins annually in our training center in Glashütte and lasts 3 years. You will receive a gross salary based on the year of training We are also happy to help you find an apartment in Glashütte.
The theoretical training takes place in cooperation with the renowned vocational training center for watchmakers (m / f / d) in Glashütte – we are very proud to be able to offer you this quality of training. The theory times are organized in block lessons.
Your future tasks
During your training in Glashütte you will get to know the high-quality Wempe watch collections and the respective technology. In addition, you will be taught all the steps from repair to maintenance of various mechanical small and large clocks, as well as the care and refurbishment of watch cases and accessories in practice and theory. In addition, you can work in the watch service of a branch during your training period and bring your skills to bear on site – a training option that only Wempe offers in the industry.
After successfully completing your training, you can either work in Wempe’s own watch manufacture in Glashütte, in the central watch workshop in Glashütte or Hamburg or as a service watchmaker (m / f / d) in one of the branches, also abroad. You will be prepared intensively for this task in the form of workshops and further training.
your qualifications
Prerequisites for training as a watchmaker (m / f / d) are a pronounced technical interest as well as an intermediate educational qualification, technical college entrance qualification or high school diploma.
