Main duties:

  • Carry out servicing and repairs to Marloe watches, respecting the prescribed methods and guidelines outlined by Marloe and the relevant movement manufacturer
  • Carry out all required part jobs with the requisite level of care and attention
  • Carry out detailed estimates of watches, ensuring appropriate levels of detail and legibility for remedial work are identified
  • Maintain an ongoing focus on quality of repair, adopting a process of continuous improvement to minimise errors and drive productivity
  • Ensure all tools used are appropriately maintained and in perfect working order
  • Oversee stock control and ensure parts are ordered
  • Manage the turnaround of repairs and servicing, recording all dates and actions carried out
  • To develop a workshop team to support growth of the business

Skills required:

  • WOSTEP or similar diploma in watchmaking or time served with a leading watch brand
  • Considerable experience in the diagnosis, servicing and repair of timepieces
  • A good aptitude for mechanical work
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to read and interpret documents with a technical aspect, such as spreadsheets, estimates and invoices
  • Attention to detail with excellent numeracy and literacy skills
  • An enthusiastic and positive personality
  • Proactive and a self-starter, able to manage your time and productivity whilst at work
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage in pressured situations
  • Confident in demonstrating techniques to colleagues
  • Well rounded organizational skills and the ability to work well on your own initiative or as part of a team
