IWC – Boutique Watchmaker (New Bond Street)

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

Your role will be to perform small repairs on simple mechanical watches, as well as on complicated watches and quartz watches. Also in your range of responsibilities are the creation of cost estimates in presence of the customer and technical support for the customers and the boutique staff.

Administrative Tasks:

•Support the sales staff in case of technical requests and explanations
•Provide recommendations on care and maintenance of leather and rubber straps
•Be knowledgeable about the global repair process, able to explain the platform “Stream” flow
•Knowledge of the repair prices, contents and lead times
•Develop basic knowledge of the boutique software DARE (registration, estimates, …)
•Clarify and explain reasons for voided sales guaranties to staff or customers
•Create in SAP and clarify as needed repair estimates and its lead times to staff or customer, in presence
•or via phone together with CS Administrator. Provide technical expertise via phone, together with CS administrator
•Explain potential effect of magnetism or external impacts on timepieces to staff or customers
•Feedback to the manufacture in case of conspicuous or regular quality issues

Technical Tasks:

•Perform technical diagnosis, entering into SAP all relevant data, in line with IWC customer service policy
•Small repairs, for example retighten screws or resetting of hands
•Strap exchanges upon request
•Readjustment of the date function of watches in case of a date desynchronization
•Battery exchanges
•Water resistance renewal
•Cleaning of cases and bracelets
•Case component exchange such as pushers and crowns
•Timekeeping test procedures and if needed, reregulation of movements
•Detailed repair estimates and approval in presence of the customer
•Demagnetization of watches
•Cleaning of particular parts such as the complete escapement and the balance wheel

Maison Support:

•Participation to offsite events of the Maison
•Lead master-classes as requested by Boutique management
•Exceptional full services as requested by Boutique or Maison management
