Description

Feldmar Watch Company is looking for a skilled Watchmaker/Watch Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for quality repairs and service across a range of timepieces including mechanical and quartz movements. The ideal candidate is highly organized, reliable, and can adapt quickly across brands and complications while maintaining an efficient workflow.

We service and repair numerous brands to brand-specific standards, and pride ourselves on quality, precision, and reliable turnaround for our customers.

Full-time or part-time options are available. Based in Los Angeles, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Appropriately estimate the needs of each timepiece submitted for service
  • Assemble all case components; check and ensure water resistance of cases
  • Perform full service on movements: dismantling, replacement/repair of broken parts, cleaning, reassembly, rate check, and adjustment
  • Analyze each repair and determine the proper methodology
  • Use or develop appropriate tools and processes to resolve issues that arise during repair
  • Respond quickly to urgent needs, including emergency repairs under time pressure
  • Confirm all required services are complete and watches are ready for return to the customer
  • Coordinate with the team to keep operations running smoothly (maintain equipment/tools, order consumables)
  • Keep your personal workspace and the general workshop clean and organized

Required Qualifications

  • Experience servicing mechanical movements including
  • Luxury brands such as Rolex, Omega, Breitling, and Cartier
  • Modern complications (e.g., chronographs, GMT)
  • Commonly used calibers (e.g., ETA, Sellita, Soprod)
  • Vintage watches
  • Ability to perform maintenance/full overhauls and general part replacement across a broad range of jobs
  • Team player with strong communication skills and a drive for excellence
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and able to stay composed in a busy, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain a quick, efficient workflow, repairing numerous watches per day across a mix of complex and standard jobs
  • Ability to work independently, including determining when and how to replace components during repair

Preferred Skills

  • 3+ years of professional watchmaking experience
  • Strong ability to perform full service and repair on quartz movements
  • CW21 Certification (or comparable proof of expertise)
  • Comfortable using Swiss standard equipment such as Witschi timing and water-resistance testing equipment
