Our client, a High-End Jewelry Brand in NYC, is seeking a Watchmaker to join their team!

Responsibilities

•Responsible for the repair of quartz and mechanical time pieces from start to completion.
•Diagnose and replace defective, worn, or rusty parts with new parts.
•Perform clear and accurate diagnostic reports on new incoming repairs.
•Supports workshop daily function by helping maintain adequate and appropriate parts supplies.
•Use electronic and vacuum instruments to test timepiece accuracy and performance.
•Maintain all work equipment and machinery.
•Responsible for meeting and achieving standards on client watches.
•Brief Team Coordinator and technical manager on the exact status of all timepieces being repaired.

Requirements

•2-3 years of experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical watches.
•Strong micro-mechanical skills with intimate knowledge of hairspring and escapement adjustment.
•High level of concentration and focus over sustained periods of time.
•Exceptional hand-eye coordination with a keen sense of detail.
•Self-composure, total command of oneself
•Creativity and an ability to problem solve
•Able to work in workshop quietly with 30 other watchmakers present
•Ability to communicate clearly and effectively ongoing with supervisory staff
