About The Role
Gucci Timepieces & Jewellery are currently looking for a Watchmaker to oversee all repairs, cleaning and watch adjustments.
Specific Duties will include:
•Repairs, cleans, and adjusts watches using watchmakers precision tools, measuring instruments, bench machines, cleaning equipment, pressure tester and ultra sonic machine.
•Removes mechanism from case examines mechanism for defective parts or accumulation of foreign matter, using loupe
•Disassembles parts, like hands, mainspring, escape wheels and balance wheel.
•Places parts into watch-cleaning machine starts machine that cleans, rinses, and dries parts
•Repairs damaged or worn parts, using watchmakers lathe drill press
•Replaces broken parts with new ones, like mainsprings, hairspring, jewels, stems, escape wheel, and pinions.
•Arranging quotes for repairs.
•Polishing on watch cases & bracelets
•Customer service – assisting walk in customers with repairs.
•Advising & preparing spare parts and tools for external watchmakers, repairers & stores.
•Support external watchmakers and customers with advise on how to repair Gucci watches.
•Assisting with aftersales enquires e.g. repair ETA’s, quotes & spare part enquiries.
•Estimate cost of repairs by conducting diagnosis
•Identify the spare parts required
•Record information on paperwork
•Identify service required
•Undertake minor repairs (i.e. battery changes, gasket exchange, water resistance testing, removing links)
•Bracelet intervention or exchange
•Quick battery and pressure test
You are a professional individual, who has a genuine enthusiasm for working with modern and timeless designs whilst working towards the service excellence and objectives accountable in this role. In addition to this, the following skills and attributes will contribute to your success:
•Minimum 3 years experience after completing apprenticeship.
•Proficient in fault finding
•Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
•Very strong attention to detail
•Customer service focus
