Job Overview:TM Watch is seeking a skilled and meticulous Watchmaker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horology and possess the technical expertise to repair, maintain, assemble, and refinish timepieces. As a Watchmaker at TM Watch, you will be responsible for ensuring the precision and functionality of various types of watches, from luxury brands to vintage pieces. Responsibilities:

Watch Repairs and Maintenance: Diagnose and identify issues with watches, focusing on mechanical movements.
Perform repairs, adjustments, and replacements of watch components to ensure accurate timekeeping.
Clean and lubricate movements to maintain optimal performance.

Watch Assembly: Assemble watches, including installing movements, dials, hands, and other components.
Test and regulate watches to meet industry accuracy standards.

Refinishing: Refinish watch cases and bracelets to restore or enhance their aesthetic appeal.
Polish, brush, and apply various finishes to achieve desired results.

Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality checks on completed watches to ensure they meet TM Watch’s specifications and standards.
Address any defects or imperfections and make necessary adjustments.

Customer Service: Communicate with customers to understand their watch-related concerns or requests.
Provide estimates for repairs and refinishing services and explain the recommended services to clients.

Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of each watch received at TM Watch, documenting the issues identified and the services performed.
Manage inventory of watch parts and tools.

Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in watchmaking and refinishing techniques.
Attend workshops or training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Watchmaker with a strong portfolio of repaired, serviced, and refinished watches.
  • Deep understanding of mechanical watch movements.
  • Proficient in using specialized watchmaking and refinishing tools and equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Customer-focused with good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of various watch brands and their specifications.

Education and Certification:

  • Formal training in watchmaking from a recognized institution.
  • Certification from a reputable watchmaking school or organization is preferred.

Compensation:

  • Pay starts at $20 per hour, but actual compensation will depend on the candidate’s level of experience and expertise.
