Swiss watch exports have grown recently which gave rise to more growth in the job sector as well. Switzerland has seen a jump of 5.2% in 2018 after suffering a loss of 4,168 jobs between 2014 and 2017. Most of the jobs created are production staff, managers, and administrative staff. “Watch Valley”, the concentrated area of Swiss watchmakers, is comprised mostly of three cantons: Neuchâtel, Berne, and Geneva; home to 53,000 workers – nearly 92% of the workforce. This growth of jobs shows that Swiss watches are still in demand and we hope to see this trend continue.
