Position Overview
As a Senior Bench Jeweler, you will focus primarily on advanced jewelry repair, diamond and stone setting, refinishing, and restoration work. This is a hands-on bench position with minimal customer interaction, allowing you to concentrate on delivering high-quality craftsmanship in a busy, professional shop.
You will also collaborate with sales associates regarding repair feasibility, timelines, and pricing recommendations while helping maintain efficient shop operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced jewelry repairs including soldering, sizing, polishing, refinishing, and restoration
- Execute precise diamond and stone setting work
- Handle a consistent volume of repair jobs with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail
- Work on occasional antique restoration and custom projects
- Collaborate with the sales team regarding repair evaluations and recommendations
- Partner with fellow jewelers to support workflow, organization, and shop efficiency
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace
- Contribute positively to a supportive and team-focused culture
Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional bench jeweler experience preferred
- Strong experience with advanced repairs and diamond setting
- Comfortable handling restoration and occasional custom work
- Excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with traditional bench tools required
- CAD experience is not required

Pay: $65,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
