Part-Time Bench Jeweller
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Part-Time Bench Jeweller to support the day-to-day workshop operations across our two jewellery stores. The role will primarily involve carrying out a high volume of jewellery repairs, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard, efficiently, and within agreed turnaround times.
Workload, responsibilities, and repair complexity will be tailored to the successful candidate’s skills, capabilities, and level of experience. The role offers flexibility and the opportunity to become an integral part of a growing jewellery business.
Hours: Part-time (hours to be agreed)
Location: Bexhill-On-Sea
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience and capabilities
This position would suit an experienced bench jeweller looking for flexible part-time work in a busy and varied workshop environment.
Responsibilities of role
The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of repair and workshop tasks, including but not limited to:
•Ring sizing (up and down)
•Chain and bracelet repairs
•Soldering and assembly work
•Claw re-tipping and stone setting repairs
•Polishing and finishing
•General jewellery maintenance and restoration
•Assessing repair requirements and advising on suitable repair methods
Key Requirements:
•Previous bench jewellery experience essential
•Ability to work independently and manage repair workloads
•High attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
•Experience with common jewellery repair techniques
•Good organisational and time-management skills
•Experience working with gold, silver, platinum, and gemstone jewellery preferred
