SUMMARY

The Diamond Setter & Bench Jeweler possesses the skill set necessary to sets stones in platinum and gold materials supplied by Hearts On Fire, to meet both aesthetic and internal quality standards. This person will maintain a minimum of stones breakage and loss while consistently producing superior product. This person is responsible for maintaining a flow of goods through the shop based on deadlines provided.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

•Have experience working with stones from 3.00mm (0.10ct) and up.
•Set diamonds using pave, burnishing, bead, channel, fancy prong, cut-down and bright cut setting techniques.
•Responsible for sizing and repairing Jewelry by Hearts On Fire.
•Inspect mountings 100% prior to setting and review work after setting completion.

•Responsible for assembling moderate to high complex fine jewelry items using precious metals with diamonds.

•Recommend design improvements to Manager.
•All work completed must meet Hearts On Fire Quality Assurance standards.
•Keep track of and count daily workload.
•Reconcile all stones used in work orders and notify supervisor of discrepancies.

QUALIFICATIONS

•5+ years’ diamond and colored stone setting experience. (Preferably working with high end jewelry)
•Knowledge/experience of a Laser Welder Machine.
•Strong organizational skills and relentless attention to details.
•Excellent communication skills
•Professional work ethic demonstrative of compliance with all company policies and procedures including but not limited to safety, confidentiality, security; attendance.
•Technical understanding of polishing and jewelry manufacturing techniques.
•Significant experience with performing and troubleshooting setting repairs.
