Vacancy for Bench Jeweler (Burbank, CA)

Position Overview

You will be working in the city of Ventura, CA, a beach community of about 100,000 people, just off the 101, about 40 minutes north of Thousand Oaks. If you live in the Los Angeles basin, this is an opportunity for you to move out of the city, while still remaining close. Our address is 560 E Main St, Ventura, CA 93001.

This is a full-time position (salary DOE), and you will be working alongside two master jewelers doing jewelry repair and creating custom pieces. Fox Fine Jewelry prides itself on its high-quality work and is looking for someone who holds those same high standards when working with jewelry.

The Workshop

Work in our state-of-the-art workshop! Our specialty is custom, and it’s all made in-house with CAD, growing and casting in gold and platinum. You’ll work on our Z-Tech laser welder and your bench comes supplied with a microscope. Every other tool is available in our brick workshop with large, airy windows.

Required Qualifications

• Ring sizing
• Retipping
• Chain repair
• Polishing castings
• Stone setting: prong, pave, bezel and channel (invisible a plus)
• Basic and/or intermediate fabrication
• Laser welding
• Matrix experience a plus, but not required
• Any other higher level jewelry skills are a strong plus.

Benefits and Compensation
