The Jeweler (Distribution Center) is responsible for performing all requested and necessary work on jewelry including, but not limited to, setting, sizing, re-tipping, welding, soldering, polishing, engraving, cleaning, and other work consistent with Shane Co. standards of quality, service, and timeliness.
•Ensure the quality of Shane Co. merchandise, providing accurate assessments of merchandise quality and condition.
•Provide accurate assessments of merchandise quality and condition so that Shane Co. may make proper decisions on the best course of action.
•Maintain the shop and personal workspace in a clean, organized, presentable, and efficient manner.
•Maintain, operate, service and clean all shop equipment and tools, as necessary, ensuring at all times safe operations and maintenance.
•Maintain and request all shop supplies, as necessary, to include tools and findings, adhering to best shop practices. This includes the proper consumption and recovery of findings as per Shane Co. direction.
•Constantly pursue personal and shop improvement and development by learning, sharing and updating yourself on new and more effective and/or efficient jeweler skills, processes, and methods.
•Work professionally, efficiently, and courteously with all Store and Company staff, fostering teamwork and respect.
Communicate issues or concerns through proper channels.
The primary environment for this role is in assigned jewelry shop. The role requires close attention to visual detail and extreme manual dexterity. In addition, business is conducted using the telephone and computer technology. Travel is not required.
•Prior bench experience; a minimum of 2 years or more preferred.
•High School diploma or equivalent required.
