Opportunity: Bench Jeweler
**
Responsibilities:
•This jeweler must have experience and knowledge in fine jewelry and diamond setting.
•Responsible for execution of designs as well as ensuring the functional and aesthetic objectives.
•Ability to create intricate pieces without supervision.
•Provide input on technical aspects of design during project reviews, and participate in brainstorming sessions during design review meetings.
•Provide input on production techniques and initial labor estimates.
•Translate design concept into a physical piece within established project time frame
•Collaborate with CAD designer/technician, setter, and polisher on all technical aspects of the creation of the finished piece.
•Physically construct new production models and initial prototype samples according to the project delivery timelines.
•Capable of working on high jewelry/sold order product.
•Ability to perform setting and polishing techniques.
•Provide guidance to fellow jewelers.
•Ability to work on silver and gold product cleaning and assembly.
•The Lead bench Jeweler works closely with the General Manager to achieve jewelry shop financial objectives
•Conduct opening, closing and scheduled maintenance for jeweler’s room and shop equipment, and maintain accurate inventory
Qualifications
•Minimum of 2 years of bench experience in fine jewelry manufacturing.
•Knowledge of intricate jewelry construction as well as precious metal properties.
•Ability to read and interpret design rendering/engineering documents
•Ability to construct handmade elements, mechanical components, clasps, connections
•Ability to communicate issues clearly in a team environment.
•Knowledge of colored stone properties, setting techniques and styles.
•Great communication skills
•Experience with sizing, soldering and prong setting in gold and platinum, gold and platinum jewelry manufacturing and casting, custom jewelry design and precious stone setting
•Experience with CAD/Matrix, Laser Welding, Laser Engraving, and Casting a plus

Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
