Responsibilities for the Jeweler…
Working under the direction of the Head of Production
• Create jewelry from both precious metals such as Silver, Gold & Platinum and contemporary metals such as Titanium & Tantalum
• Melt and roll out precious metal into bars, sheets and wires
• Assemble jewelry using proven soldering techniques as well as laser welding
• Perform basic stone setting
• Plate jewelry pieces using various types of plating materials
• Fabricate, modify or repair jigs, fixtures and various hand tools
• Applying special techniques to jewelry pieces in accordance with the companies quality standards
• Quality inspection of each piece
• Advise management of areas of concern regarding processing, work capacity and merchandise quality issues
• Develop product knowledge and grow technical skills by working with experienced coworkers on different processes
Requirements for the Jeweler
• 5+ Years Jeweler Experience
• Demonstrated knowledge/experience with a laser welding machine
• Experience with working with platinum, palladium and white gold
• Read and interpret drawings/blueprints
• Excellent hand-eye coordination
• High level of detail
• Must be eligible to work in the United States
Not-Required but Highly Desirable
• Ability to effectively communicate thought and ideas regarding manufacturing and the process
• Familiar with handling tight-tolerance product
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Good work ethic and positive attitude
