Town Square Jewelers, Inc. is an independent, family owned and operated diamond and fine jewelry company, seeking an expert Bench Jeweler with great experience. Responsibilities :
- Team player with excellent people skills
- A knowledge of all precious metal jewelry repair: gold, silver and platinum metals
- Demonstrated proficiency of stone setting for different weights, shapes, and mountings
- Proficiency with standard service repair such as torch soldering, sizing, tips, prongs, and restoration
- Familiarity with laser welding equipment
- Wax carving and CAD-CAM working is a plus (not mandatory)
- General computer knowledge to finish and modify repairs in POS software
- Maintain and place orders for findings/settings.
- Maintain tools
- Other jobs as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in all phases of jewelry production and service including but not limited to using materials such as silver, platinum, gold, stone setting, rhodium plating and polishing
- Experience in a retail store or similar fast-paced setting * Ability to sit for extended periods throughout the day
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to easily convey information about jobs and assignments
- Work well in a team environment * Ability to complete client repairs in a timely manner while maintaining a high level of quality
- Ability to work full-time or part-time including some Saturdays and holidays
