We are a family operated shop in the seaside city of Gloucester, MA. We are seeking an out of the box candidate, one who can find creative solutions to complex problems. We are looking for a candidate who can adeptly complete basic repairs, but is not afraid of taking on more challenging jobs. A large portion of our business is custom design and antique restoration so the candidate should be familiar with both modern trends and old classics. The position is part-time, but could blossom into a full-time position in the future.

Responsibilities

•Perform basic jewelry repair, i.e sizing, soldering, rhodium plating, and polishing.
•Ability to set stones in bezel, channel, prong, and bead setting.
•Produce items for stock
•Maintain an organized bench space.
•Ensure that work is completed to a high degree of excellence, and with reasonable speed.
•Maintain necessary stock levels for findings, supplies, and tools, and communicate needs.

Requirements

•Completed Technical School training, or minimum 3-5 years of professional experience.
•Proficiency with a laser welder
•Ability to pass background check
•The majority of our work is platinum or gold, and the candidates abilities in respect to these metals is paramount.
•Patience and strong communication skills a must.
•Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays (during peak periods).
