Riddle’s Jewelry has a need for a seasoned Bench Jeweler to join our team in Kearney, NE. This position is supported by a state-of-the-art jewelry manufacturing center, trade shop and training center. With the available resources even the most seasoned jeweler has room to expand their knowledge of the bench and jewelry crafting processes.
Requirements and Experience:
Our ideal candidate must have experience fabricating and repairing jewelry including, but not limited to: rings, pendants, earrings, necklaces and bracelets. They need to possess knowledge on the variety of standard tools required to complete repairs associated to the aforementioned items. Riddle’s customer care approach carries over to the bench, so it is required that the individual be able to work with customers to interpret and clarify the specifications required to complete the repair job.
Required
•2+ years of general goldsmithing and/or bench work
•Ability to work well independently with little guidance and/or in a team environment
•Ability to communicate effectively
•Strong work ethic with a “can get it done” mentality
•Ability to roll with the punches and utilize innovative and creative problem-solving approaches
•High attention to detail
•Passion for producing above average work product that exceeds customer expectations
Preferred
•5+ years of general goldsmithing with knowledge of wax carving and casting
•Knowledge of design software such as: Counter Sketch, Matrix, Rhino, or other CAD/Design programs
•Professional bench certification such as that offered from Jewelers of America, G.I.A or similar
