Les Olson Jewelers – Bench Jeweler/ Apprentice Requirements

We treat our customers like they are guests in our own home. Employees must constantly learn and evolve their skills to meet the demand of an every changing market. Along with repairing and appraising, we design custom jewelry, print resin models, cast precious metals, set precious stones and finish all custom jewelry in our Palm Harbor studio. We embrace the do it yourself attitude. We believe that if we can’t do it nobody can. We are designers and manufacturers at heart and deliver a unique experience that you can only get from a small independent jewelry design studio.

Responsibilities

Our jewelers are encouraged to be the best version of themselves while representing the Les Olson Jewelers brand. A bench jeweler/apprentice is responsible for working under the direction of a senior jeweler with the goal of learning the trade. All jewelers must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. We encourage all jewelers to grow their knowledge of the jewelry industry through continuing education. At Les Olson Jewelers the learning never stops.

Repairs: A bench jeweler/apprentice is responsible for completing repairs at the direction of a senior jeweler.

Tasks include, chain repair, ring sizing, prong replacement, polishing, plating, laser welding, investing, casting, engraving, stone setting, metal fabrication, and more.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

•Previous jewelry experience
•Advanced knowledge of precious metals and gemstones

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 – $18.00 per hour
