Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Goldsmith / Bench Jeweler to join our well-established team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting, repairing, and customizing jewelry pieces with precision and artistry. Your expertise will ensure each piece meets the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship, contributing to our reputation for excellence. We are a family-owned independent jewelry store celebrating 140 years with two locations in beautiful Northern Michigan.
Duties
- Create and repair jewelry pieces using traditional bench jeweler techniques, including soldering, laser-welding, stone setting, polishing, and finishing.
- Utilize CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software to develop detailed 3D models of jewelry designs for prototyping and production.
- Manage the product lifecycle of custom pieces from initial concept through production, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality pieces.
- Collaborate with designers and retail teams to develop new jewelry pieces that align with current fashion trends and customer preferences.
- Manage and maintain a clean, organized workspace adhering to safety standards and best practices in jewelry manufacturing.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a bench jeweler within the jewelry industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software for jewelry design (e.g., Rhino, MatrixGold).
- Excellent attention to detail, manual dexterity, and problem-solving skills.

Pay: $40.00 – $70.00 per hour
