TheBench Jeweler role will require the candidate to fabricate, create, and design custom jewelry or restore and repair jewelry to its original condition. Jewelers are responsible for maintaining their tools and equipment and for managing the workshop supplies, precious metal parts (findings), and stones needed to complete jobs. They will also maintain the shop and personal workspace in a clean, organized, presentable, and efficient manner. Achieve jewelry shop financial objectives and assist in supervising and training the bench jeweler’s apprentices.

· Chain and clasp repair
· Laser welder
· Re-tipping prongs
· Setting stones
· Creating mountings
· Performing minor or major ring repair and other jewelry repairs
· Precious metal fabrication
· Precious metal casting
· Custom design and creation from counter sketch to finished product
o Customer service minded individuals with a high standard for quality work
o Attention to safety, knowledge of the hazards associated with each chemical/tool/machine
o Ability to manage supply inventory, production schedules and workflow
o Ability to stay focused on projects, keep a careful eye on costs and meet deadlines
o Ability to work quickly and precisely with tools ,machines, and open flame (torch)
o Knowledge of precious metals assembly and fabrication techniques
o Graduate Jeweler Diploma (GIA) preferred (not required)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 – $25.00 per hour
