Apprentice Jewelry Repair & Refurbishing
This position is recommended for someone with little or no experience in jewelry repair
that wishes to learn how to become a Master Jeweler.
This position is both a training oriented position, as well as a production work environment. We offer all training necessary without you needing any specific knowledge
of jewelry or jewelry repair. We encourage growth and learning something new every day.
We take pride in servicing our customers and must make sure that the work requested
is completed correctly, and within the given time-frame. Must maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Must be able to work with your hands:
Metal sanding, polishing, cleaning and electro-plating.
Inspect jewelry for scratches, discoloration and other various imperfections and
perform necessary refurbishing.
General Computer Use – Utilizing company-specific basic web systems to receive and
photograph merchandise received into the shop as well as merchandise shipped out.
Training of all computer systems in the shop is offered as soon as you are hired.
General basic paperwork filing for matching physical inventory to that of the inventory computer system. Receiving and accounting for merchandise.
Training is offered to properly inspect merchandise for defects, as well as identify
natural gemstones, synthetic gemstones, and various metal types.
Must have pleasant phone etiquette and positive attitude to work with our store partners
when necessary. Attention to detail is required for this position.
Customer Experience Oriented – We are a retail service environment and encourage a positive atmosphere for our customers, and require that our team members reflect that.
Training opportunities for ring sizing, chain soldering, bracelet hinge repair, melee stone setting, center stone setting, wax carving, casting and custom design are all offered in this position.
We also welcome anyone with jewelry repair experience for Bench Jeweler Positions as well!
