We are seeking a skilled and experienced jeweler to join our team! As a bench jeweler, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks ranging from fabrication to finishing. Attention to detail, ability to work well with others as a part of a team, and a strong commitment to craftsmanship are key attributes we are looking for in the ideal candidate. Responsibilities: Perform stone setting in various jewelry designs, including rings, necklaces, and bracelets. Utilize basic soldering techniques to attach posts, jump rings, clasps, and other components to jewelry pieces. Safely and effectively use a laser welder to put chains on jewelry pieces, ensuring a secure and precise connection. Fabricate handmade jewelry pieces from blanks and wires, incorporating various metals and materials. Perform clipping and grinding tasks on cast pieces to ensure smooth edges and precise finishes. Collaborate with the design team to interpret and bring their vision to life through your technical expertise. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly handled and maintained.
Requirements: Proven experience as a jeweler (1+ year minimum). Proficiency in various stone setting techniques. Strong soldering skills. Experience using laser welders. Excellent attention to detail. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Knowledge of jewelry design principles, materials, and industry trends. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to learn new techniques. Good communication skills, able to effectively collaborate with team members and interpret design requirements. This position will begin at 32 hrs/week. About Us: We have been a full-scale jewelry design and fabrication studio in the Boston area for over 45 years. We are an established wholesale manufacturer with clientele spanning the United States.
