Vacancy for Bench Jeweler (Winston-Salem, NC)

Responsibilities:
– Use power tools and hand tools to create and repair jewelry pieces
– Design and create custom jewelry pieces based on customer requests
– Inspect and assess the quality of gemstones and precious metals
– Set gemstones into jewelry settings
– Repair damaged jewelry by soldering, polishing, and resizing
– Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide expert advice on jewelry selection
– Stay updated on current trends and techniques in the jewelry industry

Skills:
– Proficient in using power tools and hand tools for jewelry making
– Strong attention to detail and precision in craftsmanship
– Knowledge of different types of gemstones, metals, and jewelry settings
– Ability to interpret design sketches and bring them to life
– Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
– Strong problem-solving skills for repairing damaged jewelry
– Effective communication skills to work with customers and understand their preferences
