Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Watchmaker role based in Los Angeles, CA. The Watchmaker will perform diagnostics, repair, and maintenance on a variety of modern and vintage watches, following brand specifications and industry standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include disassembling and reassembling movements, cleaning and lubricating components, regulating timekeeping, and replacing parts such as crystals, crowns, gaskets, and bracelets. The role also involves conducting quality checks, documenting service work, communicating clearly with service advisors, and meeting productivity and turnaround goals. The Watchmaker will help maintain a clean and organized workshop, adhere to safety and security procedures, and support a high level of customer satisfaction through precise, reliable workmanship.
Qualifications
- Strong technical skills in watch repair and servicing of mechanical and quartz watches.
- Experience working with watches and clocks, including modern and vintage timepieces.
- Ability to perform thorough quality control checks and ensure high level of accuracy in all repairs.
- Formal training or certification in watchmaking (e.g., WOSTEP, SAWTA, AWCI) preferred.
- Proficiency with watchmaking tools, equipment, and diagnostic instruments.
- Excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work efficiently in a workshop setting.
- Professional communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members and service staff.
