Diamond Jim’s is seeking a Bench Jeweler. We want to help our customers keep their jewelry as beautiful as the day they bought it. We offer a range of support services to make sure our customers’ treasured pieces never lose their luster…so whether it’s a simple clean or a complex repair, we are looking for an experienced goldsmith/watch repairer to join our team.
You will be responsible for performing tasks that require focus, skill, team work and communication. This includes exhibiting the highest standards of workmanship and ethics in all aspects of the job.
Responsibilities include:
- Sizing rings
- Mounting gemstones
- Repairing jewelry
- Custom jewelry work
- Changing watch batteries
- Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3 years proven experience as a bench jeweler / goldsmith / watch repairer
- Ability to use a soldering torch and other jewelers tools * Good Communication skills
- Ability to sit at a jeweler bench and stand at a polishing station for extended periods of time
- Strong work ethic with commitment to quality
- Patient, accurate and neat worker
- Careful and reliable
- Excellent eyesight
- Good manual dexterity
- Eye-hand coordination
