Gildform is an on-demand jewelry manufacturer specializing in 3D printed jewelry based in Detroit. This position will offer an opportunity for you to join and grow with us as we develop, launch and grow our innovative platform designed to meet the unique needs of jewelry and fashion businesses.
We are a fast-growing jewelry manufacturer and in need of exceptional jewelers with the ability to train others. Successful applicant will have extensive experience, particularly in casting and should be self-motivated and take pride in producing excellent work for our customers.
The position will start as a contractor hire and could grow into a full-time position with significant potential for growth and advancement.
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess The Following
•Manufacturing, production, repair and casting of jewelry.
•Mastery of soldering, filing, polishing and finishing.
•Must have proficiency working with all precious metals.
•Knowledge of jeweler tools, equipment and machinery.
•Expertise with silicone-mold making and wax injections.
•Proficient in all aspects of metalsmithing.
•Artistic & creative background a plus.
•Expertise in design, technical drawings, general understanding of manufacturing principles.
Prior experience utilizing CAD as a design tool a plus.
Additional consideration will be given to those who have demonstrable experience in custom design, manufacturing and CAD/CAM.
Additional Responsibilities
•Attention to detail and quality.
•Maintain a clean and organized workshop.
•Perform daily setup and shutdown procedures.
•Perform scheduled maintenance on tools, equipment, and supplies.
•Track and maintain shop findings and supplies.
•Record procedures of casting, finishing and mold making.
•Be an agent of positive change for the brand through collaboration with the senior leadership of the company.Personal accountability: learn and improve performance; take personal responsibility for decisions, actions & outcomes.
•Decision quality/Problem solving: the ability to identify issues; know how to escalate an issue or to ask for guidance.
•An eye for quality and desire to deliver only the best possible end-result given the constraints of the given project guidelines.
•Candidates should be dependable, punctual, and proficient.
