Watchmaker

Position Summary

Our Watchmaker is responsible for authenticating and fully overhauling watches, with a specialization in high complications and high production.

•Emphasis on problematic, highly complex pieces
•Authenticating potential C&C watches
•Preparing watches for sale, performing work ranging from basic regulation to complete service.
•Maintaining a clean workshop
•Meeting assigned deadlines and communicating delays
•Prepare polished cases for own work

Work Experience

•5-10+ years of watchmaking experience
•Strong time management skills
•Highly organized
•Comfortable working alone as well as on a team
•Ability to communicate complex theory and issues to a broad audience
•Honest and trustworthy

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This role requires daily handling of valuable merchandise, as well as usage and care of watch-related tools and safety materials. Long periods of sitting with arms at shoulder height should be expected regularly. Occasional lifting of items up to 10-20 pounds is also required. Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion, applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm, picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.

This is a full-time position. Core days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30pm, unless otherwise agreed upon with your manager. This position may occasionally call for extra hours to complete assigned projects.

Education

High School Degree or equivalent, required.
Industry recognized certification in watchmaking preferred
