About the Opportunity
The Bench Jeweler is primarily responsible for setting, repairing, cleaning, and maintaining merchandise consistent with Company quality standards and service. Responsibilities include:
•Meet and/or exceed quarterly productivity goals
•Repair and/or restore old or damaged product
•Repair existing jewelry mountings to reposition stones
•Brush, buff, clean and polish metal items and jewelry pieces, using jeweler’s tools, polishing wheel, and chemical bath
•Maintain an up to date list of shop supply inventory, ie diamond melee and batteries
What We’re Looking For
•Attend all applicable Fashionphile University training courses and remain up to date with new industry advancements
•Maintain equipment & tools in good working order
•Maintain understanding of the functionality of other departments including Client Services, Inventory, Check-In and Shipping
•Maintain proficiency in Fashionphile Admin website
•GIA- Graduate Jeweler with minimum two to five years experience on bench
•Excellent time management & organizational skills
•Excellent written and verbal communication, including full proficiency in grammar and spelling
•Proficiency in use of Gemological equipment
