Telling time on a wristwatch is making a come back and especially with one group – the millennials. Even though smartwatches and cell phones are popular right now sales and enthusiasm for traditional timepieces have risen.

More and more 20-30 year old’s are getting into the business and building and designing watches in an industry that felt like it was disappearing. Enough that companies such as FTS USA is looking to hire people with no prior experience to learn watchmaking and get them into the field to be certified technicians. Even local colleges are getting on board and some are offering classes due to demand and interest. It definitely seems like watchmaking is growing again in America and will once again become competitive with the Swiss and Japanese.
