A Career as Unique as You Are

With our continuing expansion, a wonderful new opening for an enthusiastic and talented Goldsmith to join our well-established jewellery workshop based in the heart of Edinburgh, has become available. You will embrace Laings’ passion for excellence and quality, our Goldsmiths constantly strive to uphold high-standards, ever mindful of our clients’ expectations and perpetually seek out opportunities to improve.

Our position will be offered as a full-time permanent opportunity, assisting 38.75 hours per week Monday-Friday, with occasional weekend work when required.

Here is how we see your role:

•Consistently produce jewellery servicing to an exceptionally high standard, including repairs, restoration, and remounting.
•Skillfully assist with jewellery manufacture responsibilities incorporating, high quality finishing, mount assembly, and manufacture.
•Assist collaboratively with our Services teams and Designers to achieve our brand standards through accurate estimation and high-quality work.
•Apply experience gained in working with a range of precious metals and gemstones.
•Ensure the maintenance of accurate records, detailing tasks undertaken.
•Responsible for upholding a safe working environment, ensuring all health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to.
•Uphold client confidentiality.

The perfect person we are looking for must be required to have:

•Sound communication skills along with a genuine enthusiasm for working as part of a passionate and collaborative team.
•Minimum of three years of experience, notably in all aspect of repair work.
•Proficient at refinishing jewellery in all metals.
