David Alan Bench Jeweler Position
We are looking for a Bench Jeweler who has the ability and skills to construct and fabricate High-end Jewelry. We are a small, family owned, private jewelry atelier, working directly with private clientele in our Midtown Manhattan studio. Our pieces are all custom-made in-house.
Requirements:
•Experience working extensively in platinum, palladium and gold is necessary
An understanding of, and ability to follow, specific design parameters (No pre-made, commercial parts or semi-mounts are used making our jewelry)
•Must have the ability to manage multiple projects and ensure project goals and deadlines are met
•Ability to create wax and precious metal models from sketches or renderings and experience in utilizing and interpreting CAD programs is NOT necessary, but is a plus
•Positive attitude and team work is a must
•Ability to solve problems and multitask
•Fluency in English is required
Our Jewelers are responsible for full cycle bench work, including:
•Hand fabrication
•Highly detailed casting cleaning & preparation
•Moderate to complex parts assembly
•Final finishing & polishing
•Adherence to project timelines
This is a full time, salaried position available immediately.
