Sam Cannan finally there to achieve his dream that took 6-years of efforts and many setbacks. Mr. Cannan, a Swiss-trained master watchmaker has finally got the wheels running for opening a school dedicating to teaching the watchmaking trade to veterans – especially those with disabilities.

 

Veterans Watchmaker Initiative to Open in Odessa

After several failed starts, the school is finally set to start in January next as new lease has been signed for a county-owned building. The school aims to provide a free education to veterans at no cost so that they can make a living in the world.

Mr. Cannan says that due to the shortage of watchmakers in the industry, they can earn easily a 6 figure salary annually with their newly acquired skills. In addition to this, they will be able to work from anywhere, even home. They can get watches in the post or have them delivered them and then send them back when done.
