One of the most accurate timekeeping devices is soon going to auction, starting at 1-2 million dollars. The Urwerk Atomic Master Control is a hybrid system that keeps the most accurate time on the planet, only losing one second every 317 years, by measuring the vibrations of atoms. The two piece system consists of a base unit – the atomic clock that keeps the time, and the mobile unit – a mechanical wristwatch; the watch can be docked to the base to correct the time.

This super precise clock took about a decade to build and there were only three of them made, with a price tag of $2.7 million. Look for this one-of-a-kind at the Game Changers auction on December 10 in New York City.
